Here’s the scoop. Just minutes from the urban center of Dallas perched on the edge of White Rock Lake, Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden entices children of all ages to explore and discover how our planet works as earth sciences and fun are cleverly melded together.

The eight-acre complex is populated with150 interactive exhibits which demonstrate the basics of natural science including pollination, habitats, photosynthesis, and electricity. Insightful activities occur daily throughout the garden as well as in Exploration Center home to iconic OmniGlobe, plant labs, CSI-inspired mysteries and 3-D Mini-Theater. Rory Myers Children's Garden Simmer Family Fun in Dallas

Among the engaging features are native Texas wetlands, a 240-foot treetop skywalk, and a Honey I Shrunk the Kids-inspired world about the importance of plants plus the OmniGlobe - one of 50 in the world.  The OmniGlobe allows interactive animations to demonstrate real-time weather with an eight second delay, ecosystems, climate-related images, atmospheric changes and the solar system.

There are 17 galleries that encourage science learning through hands-on interactive activities. One such gallery is the Amazing Secret Maze where visitors will be in awe of the new 5 ½ ton Rolling Stone Sphere of the earth floating on water. Rory Myers Children's Garden Larger Than Life.

With a King Arthur theme, the Amazing Secret Maze offers children engaging rewards along the way to the Secret Garden, such as dance chimes, whisper tubes to provide clues, and now a Rolling Stone Sphere.

Perform Experiments and Solve Mysteries: In the Exploration Center's Plant Lab, there's also a new experiment for budding scientists. Children can analyze two different milk samples to decide which milk comes from an animal and which comes from a plant. A new CSI-inspired mystery, which teaches deductive reasoning, has also been added.

Watch a Nature Puppet Show: During the weekends, watch a puppet show called "How Stumpy Got His Name," starring "Stump the Tree" and several animal friends. The play is appropriate for third grade and younger, although all are welcome.

Learn About Birds: Learn about birds from Stump the Tree, a costumed character who walks along the Texas Skywalk, a 240-foot walkway that takes visitors through the treetops. Look through the scopes on the Oasis and the Energy Tower to see all the migrating birds on White Rock Lake. Visit the 9,100-sq. ft. Exploration Center to watch "See the Unseen," a spin browser that captures amazingly close details of a hummingbird in flight, pollen on a bat and more.

Here’s the deal: Dallas Arboretum is one of the options included in CityPASS Dallas.
